Roch Dupont
Biography
Roch Dupont has been a lawyer for the last 20 years and has practiced in various provinces across Canada as both a criminal defence lawyer and as a Crown Attorney for the Attorney General of Canada. Roch has practiced in areas of competition law, mergers and acquisitions, price fixing conspiracies and fraudulent telemarketing. Roch was also a federal prosecutor for drugs and gangs enforcement as well as bankruptcy and insolvency in fraudulent bankruptcies. Prior to being a lawyer, Roch was a police officer for about 16 years with the Ottawa police, and had a variety of roles within the police department over the years such as major crimes investigator, a police mobile emergency response unit and in crimes against children. Roch has received training in terrorism financing and money laundering, major crime files prosecutions and the use of electronic interception for criminal prosecutions.
Roch has appeared in every level of courts in every province in Canada from the Provincial court level to the appellate court level including the Federal Court of Canada.
Roch has experience in all aspects of criminal, regulatory and administrative law. Roch was also an adjunct professor in Bankruptcy and Insolvency law at the University of Ottawa in addition to teaching criminal investigation courses to enforcement officers across the country. Roch is fluently bilingual and can serve clients in both official languages.
More recently Roch was also involved in conducting class action litigation in various provinces including the province of Quebec. Roch has been involved in the 60 scoop litigation, consumer products litigation and pharmaceutical class actions.
